TO JOIN BALLARAT TOASTMASTERS When you have decided you are ready to join the Ballarat Toastmasters Club, you will be required to complete an application form to officially join. Application forms are available from any 'club officer'. Once the club accepts your application, you then need to be officially voted in as a member of the club. Your application form is then completed by a 'club officer' and sent to Toastmasters International in the USA, together with your fees. You will then receive your 'New Member Kit' which includes valuable speaking tips booklets, and your 'Communication and Leadership' Manual. FEES Every new member of Ballarat Toastmasters pays a once only joining fee of $50, and a pro rata fee of $50 depending on when you join. Once a member, you only have to pay a half-yearly membership fee of $50. Ballarat Toastmasters also has a $2 per meeting fee (for which you receive a ticket in a raffle!). This meeting fee helps pay for the running of the club (including room hire, refreshment supplies, and other club expenses). Rates and fee structures are subject to occassional changes in line with international exchange rates, so check with a club officer for the actual joining fee you will be expected to pay. |
